Overview of Commerce - Bahamas
Commerce is the buying and selling of goods and services and it also includes those services that assist buying and selling.
Commerce is divided into Trade and Aids to Trade.
Trade can be either within one's own country (called home or domestic trade) or outside of one's country (foreign trade or international trade).
Aids to trade refer to those services that assists buying and selling. There are approximately five aids to trade:
- Banking
- Insurance
- Warehousing
- Transport
- Communications - (The Post Office) - (Telecommunications) - (Advertising)
